Pumpkin Pie Yogurt

Chalk this one up to: See product/buy product/eat product/then read the back label!!?? Ack!

I just tried Lucerne (Randalls/Safeway store brand) Limited Edition Pumpkin Pie Low Fat Yogurt. It had me at Low Fat and Pumpkin Pie.

It looked, tasted and had probably about the same calories as a small slice of pumpkin pie, minus the crust. The color was exact, even with spice flecks. So, if you'd like a piece of pumpkin pie without the entire pie taunting you to finish it later, this could do it for you and save you fat grams and calories in the overall big picture. And if you need 80% of your daily requirement of Vitamin A, another point in the win column.

Here's the label -- 8 ounces, 230 calories, fat grams 25 - total fat 2.5, sat. fat 1.5g, cholesterol 15mg, sodium 170mg, total carb 44g, fiber 1g, sugars 41g, protein 10g. Vitamin C 6%, Calcium 35%, Iron 2%
Good thing it is limited edition. . .
