"Man of the Year" 4 stars! I liked it better than I thought I would. Very well written and directed. Probably the reason for its short run in the theaters was bad promotion and misleading positioning as a comedy. It is more of a political thriller instead. Of course, any time you give Robin Williams the reins, you are in for a hilarious ride. You could easily watch it again just to catch all his lines. Be sure to check out the special features - both of them showcase the talent and behind the scenes. You'll also see Robin's other scene takes/do-overs. Director Barry Levinson had his hands full deciding what to cut and keep. Laura Linney was perfectly cast in her role, and Christopher Walken was classic.Sunday, April 08, 2007
