The dirty side of a tropical storm or hurricane is the northeast side. Even though Tropical Storm Erin made landfall near Corpus Christi, the Houston area is getting dumped with all the rain, thunder, lightning and major street/freeway flooding. DH called and said, "Stay put!" Good advice for everyone to heed, as you watch the cars and trucks swimming on TV.
As if you need further impetus why you should maintain a stash of fabrics and reading materials...oh, and CHOCOLATE!
