Netflix Stars - Kings Go Forth

4/5 stars -- I saw the "trailer" for this on TCM and they made it sound good. An entertaining way to wile away a couple of hours on a hot day inside with the A/C and a bag of coca-cola gummi candy. (Gotta postpone that blood test again!)

OK, SWELL!

I've lost track how many times "swell!" is repeated in "Broadway Hostess" (1935) on TCM this morning...because the evening gown costumes in this movie are awesome. If they aren't one-shouldered, the sleeves are worth a second look. I couldn't get a shot in time of Winnie's song by the fireplace outfit - the ruffled (organza?) sleeves were pointing up instead of plunging down like the neckline. But check out Iris' sleeves here --
Yowza! Or...swell!!!
