Watercolor Wednesday - Colorful Black and White

The fall semester of my watercolor class began on Monday.  We focused on painting and using color in black and white - there is only one tiny, unpainted area in this picture!  I wanted to give it an autumnal and abstract feel with a band of yellow at the top.

I was trying to take the photo outside in the Houston humidity and the edges kept curling.  It is an even band of color ; )
