3.5/5 stars -- I don't think it played that long, if at all, at all the movie theaters. Pity, but good thing there's Netflix so you can see and enjoy this hidden "Rom-Com" gem. I discovered it when searching for Christian Kane (of the TNT series "Leverage"). He is adorable hunky in this movie, too. While the storyline kind of bumps along, there is great chemistry between the lead characters, and that's enjoyable to watch. Listen carefully during a scene where they are watching a movie and Christian's character says something along the lines of "this movie needs Cary Grant (or Clark Gable - I'm pretty sure got the initials right) and Estella Warren's character says, "No, Walter Matthau!" Walter Matthau's son, Charles, is the director! Don't forget to watch the behind the scenes featurette.
Wonderful movie! Cute, funny and pretty sexy in a few parts! I really like Christian's acting, anyway; but he played the romantic lead so very well. You can't help but fall in love with his character, Paul. And I have NEVER seen a man kiss a woman like Christian does -- slow, deliberate and oh so thorough. He has absolutely ruined me for "normal" kissing. It's like comparing bargain-basement powdered milk to rich and creamy home-made ice cream! Every woman owes it to herself to see this movie at least once. And Hollywood folks need to recognize Christian's acting and musical talents (along with southern charm and God-given sex appeal!) and book him for more parts like this one.
